Opening a New York office has been part of Zero’s ambition since day one. Some might say we should have waited, taken our time. But we had no intention of putting limits on our excitement.
Over the past few months, we’ve been looking closely at the hospitality landscape across the Americas. From Brazil to California, the winds are shifting. You may have noticed it in our recent travels, or in the pages of our first trend report.
It didn’t take long to realise: to support the hoteliers who dare to rethink the guest experience from North to South, we needed more than perspective. We needed presence.
So here we are. Opening a new chapter, with immense joy and more than a little awe.
And what better city than New York to set up camp (the Upper East Side might be the most polished campsite we’ve ever seen.)? This metropolis isn’t just a symbol. It’s a lab. A place where ideas are stress-tested. A global radar tuned to local obsessions. A vantage point to understand the forces reshaping hospitality across continents. A springboard for hotels that want to attract new guests without losing their soul. And above all, a creative playground for the minds, makers and misfits who believe, like we do, that hospitality should move people, not just serve them.
For a challenge this bold, we needed someone who could match our ambition. Someone who shares our vision, our hunger and our irreverence. Someone fluent in both business plans and bold ideas. Who reads a brief like others read a Joan Didion novel. Someone who knows the rules of hospitality, just enough to break them with flair.

“Isn’t there a kind of warped immensity in the minds of those who spent their youth dreaming about New York? For them, just like for the postcard photographer, that’s where it all happens. Manhattan. It’s obvious, massive, inevitable. And at the same time so undeniable and haunting, it almost feels unreal. Both the height of reality and the height of imagination.” Philippe Delerm, New York Without New York
